Water activities

The area surrounding our park is ideal for various water activities. For example, mudflat hiking. When the tide is low, you can explore the beautiful Wadden Sea on foot. While mudflat hiking, you will see with your own eyes what makes the Wadden Sea so special. And don’t wear short boots, because you will lose them anyway.

Sailing on the IJsselmeer

You can also sail on the IJsselmeer. You can rent a boat at various locations to go out on the water. Or you can of course bring your own boat. There are also cruises on the North Sea that you can do. This way you can see the Netherlands from the outside.

Discover the nature of the Wadden area

Another fun activity from our park is a visit to the Balgzand Nature Information Centre. This information centre, near Den Helder, tells you everything about the Wadden area and the nature that is rich in it. This is certainly a fun excursion if you like bird watching.
